Japan 2020
The last trip that my family and I were able to go on, before borders were shut around the world for non-essential travelling. This was the first time any of us had ever been to Japan. Everything from the fresh Takoyaki, the entertainment at Yoyogi Park on a busy Sunday morning, to the reminiscent feelings obtained while walking along the hidden boutiques in the alleyways of Kyoto, exceeded our expectations.
Even though we were able to spend a generous two weeks exploring Japan, the last train ride to the airport was a pretty sad one. I’m sure that there are many more beautiful parks and unique local shops that we weren’t able to visit - a thousand more gashapons and purikuras that we could have spent some hours at.
I’m so grateful that we were able to experience Japanese culture, even if it was only a small portion. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit again in the future, and learn more about it.
